Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, our client is actively seeking a Sales Engineer to join their dynamic sales team. In this role, you will manage a diverse range of projects involving application engineering activities and provide technical expertise as a key representative Responsibilities
Manage all activities related to the development of technical solutions for end users, customers, and sub-distributors.
Provide technical advice to the sales team and the sub-distributors to upgrade or add value to the quotations presented to customers.
Approve technical revisions of all quotations and system orders to ensure that modifications efficiently meet customers’ requirements and expectations.
Act as the first responder to find solutions to technical application problems.
Create room layout and P and ID drawings for the sales team as part of the sales process and for the mechanical team to use for their installation jobs.
Supervise design modification, quotation, equipment selection and project follow up of all phases up until start-up.
Develop and maintain excellent business relationships during customer site visits.
Review and prepare quotes for RFQs submitted to the company
Coordinate new product introduction and training to our sales and service teams
Manage training programs offered to the sales team
Ensure technical representation at tradeshows, professional associations or other events.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
3-5 years relevant experience
General knowledge of technology
Knowledge of drawing software such as Solid Edge CAD an asset
