Join a Growing Construction Team
We’re looking for a Quantity Estimator to join a fast-growing construction team in Toronto. Reporting to the Senior Project Estimator, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate estimates for a variety of exciting projects, including lump-sum, design-build, and construction management projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, thrives on solving challenges, and wants to contribute to the successful delivery of complex ICI and high-rise residential projects.
Responsibilities
- Analyze architectural, structural, civil, and landscape drawings to determine project scope and quantities.
- Review conceptual and preliminary drawings to develop accurate project budgets.
- Provide value engineering recommendations and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates using Bluebeam, Excel, and internal estimating systems.
- Manage multiple estimates and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prepare, issue, and manage tender packages, review subcontractor quotations, and complete bid analyses.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with development, pre-construction, and construction teams throughout the estimating process.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Construction Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of estimating experience with a General Contractor in the ICI and/or high-rise residential sectors.
- Experience with design-build projects is considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity with the Greater Toronto Area construction market.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and tendering platforms.
- Reliable transportation for occasional travel to project sites and meetings.
