Role: Director, Product & Category Management

Our client is seeking a strategic and technically minded product leader to oversee the direction and performance of a diverse product portfolio. This role is responsible for developing the product roadmap, managing the full product lifecycle, and ensuring products remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with customer and market needs.

Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain, you'll drive new product development, portfolio optimization, pricing strategy, and product innovation while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the product roadmap and long-term category strategy.

• Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through commercialization and end-of-life.

• Lead pricing strategy, profitability, and portfolio optimization.

• Partner with Engineering to deliver innovative, market-driven products.

• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations.

• Gather customer and market insights to shape product strategy and drive continuous improvement.

• Collaborate across functions to successfully launch and support products.

• Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and product performance to identify growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product or category management experience within a technical manufacturing environment.

• Strong technical aptitude with experience managing engineered products.

• Proven experience with product roadmaps, lifecycle management, pricing, and commercialization.

• Customer-focused with excellent analytical, strategic, and cross-functional leadership skills.

• Experience in building products, HVAC, plumbing, industrial, or related technical industries is preferred.
