Counter Sales Representative

About the Opportunity

A well-established wholesale distributor is seeking a customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join its branch team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing orders, supporting sales growth, and assisting with general branch and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in person and over the phone with product selection and order entry
• Prepare and process customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Provide pricing, product information, and inventory availability
• Coordinate deliveries and follow up on order status as required
• Promote products, special offers, and inventory opportunities
• Maintain organized and professional counter and showroom displays
• Support branch administration duties, including billing and returns
• Assist with receiving, shipping, and warehouse activities when needed
• Participate in inventory counts and general branch operations

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service, sales, or counter experience in a wholesale distribution environment
• Experience within the plumbing, HVAC, construction, or related industries is considered an asset
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical products
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction
• Comfortable using computers and standard Microsoft Office applications
