Under direction of theVice President of Sales, the Technical Sales Representative will utilize their subject matter expertise to sell Engineered Storage Systems products and Services. The position will ideally be based in Central or Eastern Canada, but will be primarily responsible for promoting and generating business with both existing and new clients in the province of Quebec. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Build and maintain key relationships with clients
Identify, qualify and secure new customer accounts
Clarify and confirm customer needs and expectations
Develop and implement promotion plans such as presentations, regional shows and training seminars
Identify and track projects through a variable length sales funnel process from budget to all aspects of estimating, bidding and monitoring after transition to Project management group.
Develop a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources
Selects and coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project
Attending construction meetings with appropriate follow up in order to resolve issues
Develop and achieve sales targets
Prepare quotation requisitions, including specifications, pricing and scheduling.
Maintain relationships with Consulting Engineers and Municipal Customers
Bid Municipal projects and coordinate Sub-contractors through final pricing
Liaise with Finance to ensure bill processing
Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and monies allocated.
Reports to client about progress and any necessary modifications of plans that seem indicated.
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years Canadian experience in an outside technical sales or project management role
Proven technical sales capabilities paired with the ability to drive profitability
Must be Bilingual (English & French)
Demonstrated ability to qualify key decision makers
Proven ability to develop relationships, and comfort interacting effectively with engineers, contractors and owners.
Proven consistency – ability to achieve key performance indicators, sales targets and professional development goals.
Strong organizational and communication skills
Flexibility to travel
Highly motivated self-starter
Ability to drive new sales through prospecting, developing interest, identifying needs, delivering presentations, qualifying concerns and closing.
