Product Marketing Specialist

Our client is seeking a dedicated Product Marketing Specialist, ideally with experience within the HVAC & Plumbing field to join their team of professionals.  This pivotal role drives the success of our offerings within these industries. As a Product Marketing Specialist, you'll lead initiatives in both product management and marketing, ensuring our products excel throughout their lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct in-depth market research to uncover opportunities, analyze trends, and grasp customer needs, incorporating competitive analysis (Identify unique selling points that differentiate our products from competitors).
  • Develop and refine product strategies tailored to market dynamics, customer requirements, and company objectives.
  • Engage closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and operations, to define product requirements and prioritize features.
  • As part of the marketing group contribute to crafting comprehensive go-to-market plans for new product launches and updates, ensuring alignment with sales targets and market positioning.
  • Manage product roadmaps, balancing short-term priorities with long-term strategic objectives, and adapting plans based on market feedback and evolving business needs.
  • Gather customer feedback from various channels and translate insights into actionable product improvements, enhancements, and new features.
  • Monitor competitor activity, benchmark product offerings, and identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage within the market.
  • Manage published price lists for both Canada and the USA, ensuring regular updates to accurately reflect current market conditions and costs.
  • As part of the marketing team, collaborate in developing content and executing targeted marketing campaigns, messaging, and promotional activities to drive product adoption and sales.
  • Be responsible for new and updates to current product literature content, such as product sheets/brochures, and installation guidelines, to ensure clear and comprehensive information is available for customers and internal stakeholder

SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proven experience in both product management and marketing roles.
  • Proficient understanding of product marketing principles and strategies.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to derive insights from market research and customer feedback.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinking and foresight to anticipate market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
  • Organizational prowess and attention to detail 
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in trades, distribution, or associations within the plumbing and HVAC&R markets desireable
