The Sales Assistant works as a member of the Inside Sales Team, focusing on driving profitable sales in the heating segment for our client. Reporting to the Hydronic & HVAC Product Manager, the Sales Assistant supports the team by accurately quoting, processing orders, providing customer support, and coordinating with vendors. Responsibilities:
Identify and interpret products from job specifications, scopes of work, and RFQs for quoting.
Enter customer requests for quotes, orders, and returns into the ERP system accurately.
Contact vendors to obtain project pricing and negotiate better pricing when possible.
Coordinate customer returns with minimal impact on the customer and vendor while maximizing profitability.
Provide accurate information, troubleshoot customer issues, and assist with technical solutions.
Familiarize oneself with relevant vendor catalogues.
Collaborate effectively with different departments within the organization.
Requirements:
Experience with wholesale heating distributors and commercial heating equipment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Order Entry Software.
Analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
Strong business acumen and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
