Customer Service Rep

Provide our customers with professional, friendly, efficient service. Respond to requests for pricing or product information and process orders – either in person at the customer service counter, over the phone or electronically.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, friendly, efficient customer service at our order desk, Monday to Friday
• Answer calls and emails with product pricing and information
• Restock customer service area as required
• Maintain order and cleanliness of customer service area
• Assist manager of business development to provide product demonstrations as needed either at our yard or customer’s job site, as required
Secondary Job Functions
• Collaborate with all staff to achieve optimum efficiency in operations and customer service
• Assist shipper/receivers to assemble product/equipment if needed
• Maintain up-to-date training on products and computer system
• Report safety hazards, documenting as required
• Attend industry events as required

Skills/Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in either
o landscape design/construction or
o heavy construction or
o sales of construction products to trades
• Oral & written fluency in English; French considered an asset.
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• High school education diploma or higher
• Competent in both imperial and metric systems of measurement
• Understanding of products including their applications
• Driver’s license- Class G
• WHMIS
• First aid
